Our sophisticated brewery is a testament to location, quality and innovation. We use the finest ingredients and have a deep commitment to the art of brewing to craft exceptional beers and beverages
Purity and Quality of Water
In the world of brewing, water is far more than just a liquid. It’s the most abundant ingredient, making up a large amount of a beer’s final composition. High-quality water for brewing is a precise balance of ions, hardness, and alkalinity.
Our site was selected in large part because of the extremely high water quality which meets the precise balance above, and which requires none of the expensive water treatment technologies that many breweries have to utilise to assure water quality for brewing.
We use a dedicated carbon filter for all the water used on site to ensure that the water is “fresh” and neutral in its sensory characteristics.
As a result, the water supply we have ensures consistency and quality, allowing our brewery to produce the same great-tasting beer batch after batch.
Utilities
Both natural gas and electricity are vital for modern beer brewing, powering different stages of the process.
Again, the site we selected, had more than enough Natural Gas and Electricity already supplied into the building and so combined with the ideal water quality it was the logical decision to be located here in Napier.
The existing supply of these services will also allow for significant growth in production and removes a significant capital hurdle in scaling up production for our clients.
Centralised Logistics
Napier’s strategic location and well-developed infrastructure make it an ideal hub. Its strength lies in a combination of factors:
Integrated Transport Network: Napier is well-connected by road and rail. The Hawke’s Bay Expressway links directly to the port and airport, while State Highways 2 and 5 provide crucial access to the rest of the North Island, including major distribution centers like Palmerston North and Auckland. This allows for efficient “site to sea” solutions for businesses, ensuring products can be moved quickly from their point of origin to the port.
Napier Port: The port is a key gateway for imports and exports, particularly for the region’s strong primary industries like horticulture, agriculture, and forestry.
Specialized Logistics Services: The region has a robust network of logistics companies that offer specialized services. Many have invested in modern warehousing, including food-grade and temperature-controlled facilities. This specialized infrastructure, combined with an experienced workforce, makes Napier a reliable and efficient hub for complex supply chains.
Supporting Regional Economy: The success of primary producers and manufacturers in the region is directly tied to the efficiency of the logistics network, creating a symbiotic relationship that drives ongoing investment and development in the area’s transport and warehousing capabilities.
